Blank pigeon pedigree to download (free PDF)

Looking for a blank pigeon pedigree to download? Here are two, free and with no account needed. They are the same designs Pigeclub prints pedigrees in, with the boxes left empty to fill in by hand.

Classic design – rounded boxes with S (sire) and D (dam) tags on every ancestor. The pigeon sits in the middle of the first column, between its sire and dam.

Stepped design – square boxes with a deep shadow, the pigeon stepped out to the left of its parents.

Both are ready to print on an ordinary printer, portrait, on A4 paper.

What's on the blank pedigree

  • Five generations: the pigeon, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents. More than a hand-drawn pedigree usually fits.
  • The biggest boxes for the closest ancestors. The pigeon and its parents get the most room, because their results count most.
  • A signature line at the foot of the page.
  • Room for the breeder's name at the top.

How to fill in a racing pigeon pedigree

  1. Write your name or loft name at the top.
  2. In the pigeon's box write its full ring number, for example GB-25-A12345, its colour and sex.
  3. Write the sire in the top box and the dam in the bottom one. The same further on: in every pair the top box is the sire and the bottom box the dam.
  4. Add the best results next to each pigeon: race, distance and position. One 1st place over 500 km says more than a long list of weak results.
  5. Sign on the line at the bottom.

Write in capital letters. The pedigree will be read by someone who doesn't know your handwriting. Not sure what the entries in your pedigrees mean? See how to read a racing pigeon pedigree.

An editable pigeon pedigree

You fill in the PDF by hand. For a pedigree you can edit you have two options:

  • A Word or Excel template. It works, but you retype every pedigree and tables shift when printing.
  • Pedigree software. You enter a pigeon once, and its youngsters' pedigrees build themselves from the parents. More in pigeon pedigree software.

The same pedigree, filled in by Pigeclub

In Pigeclub the same design fills itself in:

  • Import a pedigree from a photo or PDF from a breeder or an auction. Pigeclub reads the ring numbers and ancestors.
  • A youngster's pedigree comes from its parents' pedigrees, so nothing is typed twice.
  • Print the pedigree or save it as PDF and send it to the buyer, with your logo, background, colours and signature.

Pigeclub has a trial. With a licence, every feature is included with no limits: no subscription, no extra charges and any number of devices.
